Green Leader Launches 'I Close the Circle' School Contest to Raise Awareness about Recycling and Reusing Waste

The contest is structured into 3 categories: up to 8 years, 9 to 12 years, and from 13 to 17 years. Creativity will be valued, as well as innovative ideas about the reuse or revaluation of waste and how these proposals will help the planet.

In the context of World Environment Day, Green Leader has launched the 1st School Painting and Drawing Contest 'I Close the Circle.' This initiative aims to contribute to the greater purpose of raising awareness about the importance of reusing or repurposing waste to extend its lifespan, thus helping to preserve the environment and, consequently, prevent it from being discarded as trash.

This was stated by Orietta Ramírez, Public Affairs Manager at Green Leader, who added that this contest, being its first edition, is aimed at children and young students in the city of Antofagasta. They will have a period from June 5th to June 25th, in other words, 20 consecutive days to create and submit their works.

"Green Leader is a company from the Antofagasta Region, recognized as a leader in Environmental Engineering and Services in the Northern Zone of Chile. We are firmly established with a marked strategic vision of sustainability and a circular economy approach. We believe in regional development, the importance of creating social value, and generating permanent green jobs for its residents. From this perspective, we consider it highly relevant to be able to create initiatives - from early childhood onwards - that contribute to raising awareness about the importance that each one of us, as an individual, plays in preserving the environment. And what better way to launch this contest precisely on World Environment Day," explained the Public Affairs Manager at Green Leader.
